The left over species of virus would only infect if they are started by the user manually. Like they attach themselves to the users file, and when users execute their files they also get into execution with it. So basically now its the job of users to scan the drive before operation.

This will just help in preventing auto-start of the execution of virus every time you plug in your drive.</description>
